Manually Partition Mac Drive For Bootcamp Mojave

Hi. Has anyone, using Terminal, resized on macOS, the Boot Camp partition to a larger size? I need to increase it from 124GB (after format its 114.74GB) to 256GB. All without deleting or corrupting the Boot Camp partition (or the Fusion Drive)?

  • Sep 14, 2019  Next step is to create Bootable Drive to install the macOS Mojave on a separate partition. Make sure to back up the USB drive, as you will need to Erase it later. Step #1: Plug the USB Drive on your Mac. Note: You should use the minimum 16GB USB Drive for faster and better operations. Also, take a backup of the drive that you are using.
  • 1) With the external drive that you formatted for installing Windows on connected to your Mac, enter the following Terminal command without the quotation marks: “diskutil list” and then press enter or return. 2) A list of all attached disks will be displayed in Terminal. Scroll through the list and locate the external drive you plan on using to install Windows.

Also how do you calculate a partition to the size you intend it to be, in light of the fact, that when its formatted it's intended sized decreases (eg. intended size 124GB, after format its 114.74GB). How many percent does it decrease anyway after format in NTFS (how about in FAT32)?

Nov 30, 2010 The first partition, all 200MB of it, is actually used by EFI and is not really “usable” space. A further elaboration of the details of any given partition can be had with a command such as the following (this example for partition #2, the boot partition, on the average Mac): diskutil info /dev/disk0s2.

Thank you in advance.

God bless, Proverbs 31
