Oct 15, 2018 Working with Affinity Photo today - lots of pauses and beachballs, missing files, all sorts of weirdness. Took a while to figure out but Mac OS Mojave seems to be dropping the Network connection, pausing the network connection, seeing a subset of the files. Introduction

Unfortunately the integrated WiFi chipsets on most PC motherboards aren’t compatible with macOS, meaning that if you want working WiFi, you’ll need an additional WiFi card. Few cards are supported by macOS. In this article, we’ll take a look at a couple of the best options for working 802.11ac Wifi out of the box in macOS Catalina with no need for additional drivers.
Working cards are based on the Broadcom BCM4360 chipset, as this is the chipset Apple uses in their own native WiFi cards on real Macs, so native drivers are included in macOS Mojave and Catalina.
Note that the two WiFi cards listed are only for WiFi. If you want Bluetooth as well (needed for handoff / continuity with iOS devices), either buy the BCM94360CD card or use one of the listed PCI-E WiFi cards with an additional Bluetooth USB dongle like the Asus BT400.

Macos Mojave Usb Installer
Broadcom BCM94360CD
This is the original Mini PCI-E Apple 802.11ac Wifi / Bluetooth card used in the late 2013 / mid 2014 iMac. You need to use a Mini PCI-E adapter and a Mini-PCI-E to PCI-E 1X adapter to use it in a PCI-E 1x slot on your motherboard. Once installed, it works out of the box using the native drivers, just as if it were a real Mac, so you get working Airdrop, and Handoff / Continuity with iOS devices. This is probably the best option if you regularly use an iPad or iPhone.
